Add an input

1. In the studio mixer, press ＋ Add input (or use Input 1).
2. Tap the strip name (⚙) and choose an Input mode and Device. Allow microphone access first so device names show.

• Voice mic — mono, with voice processing. Browser echo cancellation, noise suppression and auto gain can be switched on or off.
• Music / line (stereo) — for DJ mixers, turntables and instruments. Stereo stays stereo, no processing, and it dips under your mic like the decks.
• Split stereo → 2 mics — for dual wireless receivers. You get two strips, Mic L and Mic R, each with its own processing, fader, mute and meter. Rename them to your guests.

Every input has a gain trim (−12 to +24 dB). If the strip shows CLIP, turn the trim down.

Turntables

Turntables need a phono preamp. Use a turntable with a built-in preamp, a separate phono preamp, or a DJ mixer / USB interface with a PHONO input. Connect it to your computer by USB and pick it in Music / line mode.

DJ mixer

If your mixer has a USB audio output, plug it in and choose it as the device. Otherwise connect the mixer's booth or record output to a USB audio interface's line input.

Dual wireless mics

Set the receiver (DJI Mic, RØDE Wireless GO, Hollyland Lark and similar) to split / stereo mode with safety channel off, so each mic is on its own side. Choose Split stereo → 2 mics.

Recommended gear by budget

• Under $100: a USB dynamic mic, or a basic 2-input USB interface.
• $100–$300: a dual wireless mic kit, or a 2–4 input USB interface with a phono preamp for turntables.
• $300+: a DJ mixer with USB audio, or a multi-input interface.

Avoid Bluetooth mics and headsets: while the mic is on, Bluetooth switches to low-quality call audio.

iPhone and iPad

iPhone and iPad open one input device at a time. On iPhone use one USB interface or a split-stereo wireless receiver. Laptops and Android phones can open several devices at once.

Voice processing

Voice inputs have presets: Off, Natural, Radio Voice, Podcast, Loud Room and Custom (high-pass, noise gate, compressor, de-esser, low / presence / high EQ). Each input remembers its preset. If AirDeck warns that your device is struggling, set the preset to Off.

Voice FX

In the Show panel, Voice FX adds reverb, echo or robot to the host mic. Tap again to turn it off.

Multitrack recording

1. In the Show panel, switch Multitrack on before you go live.
2. When the show ends, press Download ZIP for one file per channel, or Save to Library (saved as Recordings, within your storage limit; files over 60 MB are ZIP only).

Guest tracks are recorded as AirDeck receives them. Guests who join after the show starts are in the main recording but don't get their own track.

MIDI controllers

MIDI works in Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android — not on iPhone or iPad.

1. In the Show panel, open Controller and press Enable MIDI, then pick your device.
2. Press Learn, click a fader, button or pad in the studio, then move a control on your controller.
3. Press Done learning. Mappings are saved to your account for that controller.

Faders use soft takeover: move the control past the on-screen position to pick it up, so levels never jump. See also Getting started.
